Howlite Mermaid Crystal Carving

Howlite is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide, or borate mineral, that's often used as an ornamental stone or gemstone. It's naturally white or light gray, but is often dyed to look like other minerals, such as turquoise. Howlite is soft and rarely faceted, but is often polished into round shapes or cut into globes or animal ornaments.
