Caladiums are tropical perennials with colorful, heart-shaped leaves. They are native to tropical forests in South and Central America. Caladiums are also known by the common names elephant ear, heart of Jesus, and angel wings. 

They are a perennial that die back in the winter and then come back every year as soon as it warms up.
