Painted Lady philodendron 6 in pot
The Painted Lady Philodendron (Philodendron erubescens 'Painted Lady') is a rare, low-maintenance, climbing houseplant with striking variegated leaves and pink petioles. It's a favorite among collectors and philodendron enthusiasts.
Leaves: Large, heart-shaped, green and yellow leaves with pink and red petioles. New leaves emerge golden yellow with chartreuse speckling, then mature to light green with deeper green speckling.
Growth: Can climb to over 6 ft and prefers a trellis or moss pole for support. Can also be pruned to stay bushy.
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate moderate light. Needs a strong shadow for a couple of hours each day.
Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering and poor drainage, which can cause yellow leaves.
Humidity: Prefers average to above-average humidity (40% or more) and enjoys misting.
Temperature: Prefers average household temperatures and shouldn't be exposed to cold drafts.
Toxicity: Toxic to humans and pets if ingested. Sap may cause discomfort to sensitive individuals.
